Editorial policy and evidence standards
How Mertiva researches financial services, verifies facts, labels limitations and keeps commercial interests visible.
Start with the reader's decision
Every comparison identifies the product, intended use and relevant country. We compare equivalent transaction types and distinguish a broker-held security, an exchange account and a self-custody wallet. An introductory headline rate is not a complete cost comparison.
Use evidence that readers can inspect
We prefer official fee schedules, product specifications, legal-entity information and regulator publications. A numerical claim carries its unit, conditions, checking date and source. Account-specific prices that cannot be verified publicly are identified as unavailable rather than estimated.
Market observations, calculations and vendor estimates are labelled separately. We do not create customer reviews, product ratings, reader counts, performance records or credentials to make a page more persuasive.
State what has and has not been tested
Current buying guides are based on documentary research. They do not claim hands-on product testing, a penetration test, a financial audit or professional author qualifications. Original product testing will be described only when there is a documented method and evidence supporting it.
Editorial illustrations explain a subject; they are not evidence that a device was tested or a transaction occurred. Product photographs must identify the actual depicted model.
Keep commercial interests visible
Commercial consideration must not silently determine a comparison's conclusion. Paid placements, affiliate links and products owned by the publisher must be identified where they appear. A reader should be able to distinguish evidence, editorial judgement and advertising.
Current official-provider links do not claim a partner discount or an affiliate agreement. Our disclosure page explains this status.
Update meaningful facts and correct errors
The source-checking date records when evidence was reviewed; it is not automatically refreshed when the page is requested. Material changes to fees, eligibility or conclusions should trigger a review and a dated correction note. Cosmetic changes do not imply fresh factual verification.
Corrections should identify the affected page, statement and supporting source. Material corrections should be recorded beside the article. Mertiva does not request account credentials, recovery phrases or personal financial documents.
Translate with regional context
English is the source edition. Translations are prepared in advance using Google Translate. Automated checks cover missing content, numbers, brands, links and placeholders; this does not establish native-speaker or professional financial review. Regional availability and tax rules require separate evidence. A translation does not establish that a service is available locally.
